A new generation of local archeologists in Belize are working with Harvard and Max Planck institute’s DNA labs on a unique view into their shared history, uncovering hidden secrets of the southern Maya. The project could reveal answers to long buried mysteries of the ancient Maya – and could re-write the history of a great civilization.
Secrets of the Maya Warrior Queen is produced by Zoot Pictures Inc. in association with CBC and SBS, and with the participation of the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, and the Manitoba Film and Video Production Tax Credit.
